Doug says, “I realized, for far too long, employee benefits were in their own separate silo, and were never considered as part of the equation when organizations were looking to attract, and retain, employees. Health benefits were simply healthcare, dental, and vision coverage, with some form of disability thrown in. Over the years, as benefit costs began to dramatically increase, the answer always seemed to be, increase deductibles, and maybe pass some back to the employees. As self-insured programs began to take-off, organizations still were not truly drilling down to see where their costs were, and how it could be corrected. The stance I take is to see where the biggest cost impacts can be made, coupled with putting measures, in place, to stabilize costs. I also take the time to ensure benefit solutions match the needs of employers, employees, along with the industry they are in, and where they are geographically located.”
